STAY CONNECTED WITH YOUR FELLOW EAGLES!
The greater metropolitan D.C. region is brimming with Eagle Scouts. NESA-DC, the National Capital Area Council’s Eagle Scout alumni organization, is a great way to meet and stay connected with them.
As the local affiliate of the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA), our aims are simple:
- Encourage networking and friendship among Eagle Scouts.
- Assist the National Capital Area Council with Eagle-related activities.
- Gather Eagles to renew their involvement with Scouting.
- Leverage the skills, talents and dedication of local Eagles to serve our community in meaningful ways.
- Establish a foundation to provide ongoing financial support for Scouting.
We invite you to join NESA-DC today! Whether you are a recent Eagle or a veteran, inside the Beltway or out, joining is a great way to:
- Connect with other local Eagle Scouts
- Stay informed about local Eagle events and network gatherings
- Learn about new alumni patches and other gear

NOMINATE AN OUTSTANDING EAGLE ALUM
Each year, the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) recognizes high-flying Eagle alumni nationwide with the NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award. This prestigious recognition is awarded to Eagle Scouts who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their profession, avocation or community – inside or outside the world of Scouting.
Outstanding Eagle Scout Award nominations are reviewed by our Council’s NESA Committee Chairman, Council President and Council Scout Executive, who make recommendations to NESA for confirmation and approval.
For more information and a copy of the application, visit the NOESA website.
ADAMS AWARD HONORS OUTSTANDING EAGLE SCOUT SERVICE PROJECTS
Outstanding Eagle Scout service projects are honored each year with the Glenn A. and Melinda W. Adams Eagle Scout Project of the Year Award. Projects are honored at the council, regional and national levels.
Established in 2009 by the National Eagle Scout Association, the award recognizes exceptional service by a Scout to a religious institution, school, community or other entity. Local councils select a council-level winner, and from that pool, four regional winners are selected. A national winner is chosen from the four regional finalists.
Recipients of the the Adams Award receive a framed certificate from the National Eagle Scout Association, a bronze Adams Award device and a $500 cash scholarship that can be used for educational purposes or to attend a national or international Scouting event or facility.
To be considered for the Adams Award, nominations must be sent by email or through the mail to:
