National Eagle Scout Association
NESA-DC is the National Eagle Scouts Association (NESA) for the National Capital Area Council (NCAC) of Boy Scouts of America, including the U.S. Virgin Islands.
As an alumni association, our mission is to support Eagle Scouts in the national capital region, and thus facilitate their support of Scouting. We tend to connect through social networking events in the region, but we also organize meaningful opportunities to contribute to Scouting, our communities, and the Nation. We are always looking to connect with Eagle Scouts in our region.
Eagle Scout Networking Lunches
Every month on the second Thursday, NESA-DC hosts networking luncheons for local Eagle Scouts to meet and connect with other Eagle Scouts. Join us every month to hear from a guest speaker, network, and learn more about what’s going on in Scouting. Tickets are free to this virtual presentation.

Every year, the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) recognizes outstanding Eagles across America with the NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award (NOESA). This prestigious recognition is for Eagle Scouts who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their profession, avocation and community, having notable achievements both inside and outside of Scouting. While the selection of NOESA recipients is a local Council function, the nominees are confirmed by NESA.
You can help us and Scouting by contributing to one of the committees working in these domains:
Career Navigation – assist young Eagles in organizing their choices and online profiles for marketability, networking, and facilitating mentoring.
Career Advancement – facilitate opportunities for Eagles to promote their career goals, develop business opportunities, and assist each other during career transitions.
Scouting Leadership – volunteer service and mentoring time to Scouting, through Troop, District and Council leadership roles and leadership sponsorships.
Philanthropy Leadership – organize fundraising events and products in support of purchasing of Eagle Kits and subsidizing camp leader positions.
Leadership Recognition – promote the public image of Scouting by recognizing notable Eagles with prestigious awards and award ceremonies. Click here for more info.
Environmental Conservation – work with partners to analyze and prioritize regional conservation projects that Scouts can lead or join.
Youth Education – work with partners to analyze and prioritize regional educational projects that can benefit from the assistance of volunteer Eagles.
Or, if you have the time and talent, please help us facilitate communications among members to keep them informed about opportunities that may fit their interests.
