About Us
The Washington, DC District of the National Capital Area Council proudly serves nearly 2,000 youth, boys and girls ages 5 to 21 years old, through 60 scouting units and four scouting programs — Cub Scouting, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouting — across the District of Columbia.
The Washington, DC district is responsible for four standard functions to keep scouting in D.C. strong: membership, finance, program, and unit service. Overall district leadership is provided by the Key 3, consisting of the district chair, the district commissioner, and the district executive.
