World Conservation Award

Have your Cub Scouts Earned a World Conservation Award?

Earning the Cub Scout World Conservation Award helps boys and girls understand more about the planet we live on and how we all can do our part to take care of it.

Below you’ll find information about this award.  This award can only be earned once while a Wolf and Bear Cub Scout and can again earned as a Webelos Scout.  For Scouts that are Lion and Tiger Cub Scouts, I encourage unit leaders to purchase a conservation-themed patch either online or at the local BSA Store.

The World Conservation Award provides an opportunity for individual Scouts to “think globally” and “act locally” to preserve and improve our environment.  This program is designed to make youth members aware that all nations are consciously working closely to preserve our natural resources, and that we and our world environment are interdependent.”
