Who Can Attend?
Registered Cub Scouts and Webelos, boys and girls, between the ages of 6 and 10 (grades 1-5 as of Fall 2019) are eligible for day camp. Each rising Tiger Cub will need to have their Tiger Cub Partner attend camp with him or her every day.

Do you have a friend that might be interested in joining Cub Scouts next year? They can register as a Cub Scout to attend Day Camp with your Pack. A new member application needs to be submitted at time of registration for camp. A pro-rated fee of $19.25 would be charged in addition to the guaranteed New to Scouting price of $190 for camp registration. If the family would like to join the Pack after camp, any dues the Pack charges would be due to the Pack upon joining that Pack. Den Walking responsibilities and camp paperwork would need to be coordinated with the perspective Pack.

Activities:
Day Camp activities at this location include archery instruction, target shooting (BBs and/or slingshot), nature, crafts, fishing, sports, Scout Skills, and other activities.

Advancement is not the specific goal of Cub Scout Day Camp. However, many times a specific camp activity may focus on rank achievements. In this case, if the participants are fully active, they may complete the rank achievement during Day Camp and the Pack Coordinator will be notified of the completion. Packs purchase the awards and present the advancements and/or achievements at a future Den or Pack event.

Camp Fees:
Register now through April 28 $190*
Register between April 29 and May 19 $210
Register between May 20 and June 9 $230
Late Registration Fee beginning June 10 $260

*If not currently registered as a Cub Scout, a new member app must be submitted to their new unit prior to camp or they can register for camp without joining a pack for the prorated summer rate $19.25. They would still need to join a pack (and pay pack membership fees) in the Fall to continue with Cub Scouting.

To allow for proper planning and to have all materials available for your child, please register before June 10, 2019. Late registrations may not have all materials available for use at camp. In all planning, extra supplies are purchased. However, a large volume of late registrations may deplete excess supplies. T-shirts and water bottles for late registrations typically take 48 hours to obtain from NCAC.

Registration:
Packs sign up as a group or individually online at www.gotodaycamp.org This year, registrations will only be accepted online. If you do not have internet access, please visit The Marriot Scout Service Center and they will provide computer access. Cubs and siblings must attend with their Pack or have alternate full-time leadership.
Only have one or two Cubs who can attend? Small groups are welcome. Feel free to pair up with another Pack or contact the Camp Director for more information on individual campers from a pack or small groups.

Registration fees for regional day camps include participation in all camp activities and programs, one themed t-shirt, commemorative patch, and water bottle. Extra t-shirts can be ordered through the online registration. Lunch is not provided and should be sent with the camper.

Important information!
Each group of five Cubs requires at least one adult who will walk with the den all day (not considered to be a staff member). Den Walkers and Adult Staff (over 18 years) must complete Youth Protection Training (YPT) and provide proof of completion. Remember that YPT must be renewed every two years.

Each youth, den walker, and staff member is expected to have an appropriate medical form on file at the camp. These forms will be available online at the NCAC website. Only parts A and B are needed for Day Camp. No visit to a doctor is needed with these forms. These are to be turned in to your Pack’s Day Camp Coordinator in advance of camp. PLEASE ATTACH A COPY (FRONT AND BACK) OF YOUR MEDICAL INSURANCE CARD TO THE HEALTH FORM. This includes youth, adult den walkers, program volunteers, youth staff, and adult staff.

Note that camper shirts and water bottles will not be distributed to Pack Coordinators without all of the necessary paperwork, which includes a den walker schedule. Please turn in all forms to your Pack Coordinator. Your Pack Coordinator will need the copy of the Individual Cub Registration Form, Cub Scout Release Form, copy of Health Form A&B, and copies of the front and back of your child’s health insurance cards. You pay directly to NCAC when you register your child online.

Adults, do you want your son or daughter to attend camp for $50 (and have a great time as well)?
Youth, do you want to earn SSL hours or NCAC Camp Credit and have a great time working at camp?

Full-time, approved adult staff members aged 18 and older will receive up to 2 discount registrations for camp (and should not pre-pay for this child’s registration). Adult staff must be registered with the Boy Scouts of America. Youth staff must be at least 14 years of age or serving as a Den Chief or Program Assistant per council. SSL, NCAC Camp credit ($100 for a full week of service, 14 and older) and leadership experience is available for Boy Scouts, Venture Scouts, Girl Scouts and Explorers. Contact the Camp Director for more information.

Day Camp Staff National Standard

Each camper needs current health forms. For MCPS students who are current on all vaccines, this can be notated on the form where the vaccines record goes. Parents can now pay for their individual children online, or the pack can collect money and submit together, as desired. Both options exist now.
