Dear Scouting Families:
Today people all around the world are coming together to tap into the power of human connection and strengthen communities at the grassroots level for #GivingTuesdayNow. Will you be one of them? National Capital Area Council is one of the participating organizations and we need your help!
By joining the #GivingTuesdayNow movement and tuning in to tonight’s Virtual Campfire at 7pm, you’re proving that in times of uncertainty, generosity can bring the whole world together. Here is how you can participate:
1. Give. Go to www.ncacbsa.org/give today to donate. In honor of #GivingTuesdayNow we have an anonymous donor match! All donations made to Friends of Scouting today will be matched dollar for dollar up to $20,000 for camperships. This match funding will allow financially burdened families the opportunity to send their Scouts to summer camp! You can also support our organization with gifts from your IRA, stocks transfers, Donor Advised Fund, or with a planned gift by contacting Jenna.Welle@scouting.org
2. Follow. Be an advocate for Scouting by following us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitterand invite your friends to do the same.
3. Spread the word. Post a short video or photo and share what Scouting means to you and why you support NCAC. Make sure to use hashtag #GivingTuesdayNow and #myNCAC
