As announced previously, the Potomac District will NOT hold an in-person Klondike Derby this year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic a “virtual” Klondike event will be broadcast instead.
The date of this virtual Klondike event has been moved back by one day, from Friday February 5th to Saturday February 6th , 7 pm to 8 pm.
There will not be any activity Stations / competitions involved in this event. This online event will be roughly equivalent to the Saturday night Campfire & OA Call-Out that is normally held at in-person Klondikes. We will be asking units to submit a few photos and/or videos of skits to include in the broadcast, and an annual Klondike Derby patch and Polar Bear patches will be available for purchase. The details regarding all of this, including how to submit photos/videos and how to purchase patches will be published in a Leader’s Guide once all the details have been finalized.
