STEM

Welcome to the Powhatan District STEM home!  Here we will try to narrow the broader National and Council STEM focus to what we can do right here and now in our own units.  Through these pages, we will gather together information about local opportunities for Scouting/STEM focused activities and offer up practical methods for applying a STEM related facet to your unit’s program jewel.

The primary focus is around the Nova and Super Nova awards which provide a backdrop, or context for STEM related activities and advancement.  These are relatively new awards and consequently, not much is known about them Scouting wide.  With that in mind, we have some upcoming opportunities to learn more and get you started.
