Notice from Peggy Durbin

Scouters in Goose Creek District:

It is with mixed feelings I send out this notice. I would like to take this opportunity to let you know, that I have accepted the position of Mountain West Field Director, effective now.

What does this mean? It means, I will now be serving all of the Scouts and Scouters in Frederick County, Loudoun County, and the Western side of Fairfax County. What this also means, as a Field Director, in the absence of a District Executive, the Field Director serves as a Districts’ Executive until a person is named. So…along with my additional duties, I will still be your District Director in Goose Creek until I find my replacement(s) and I will be the person training your new District Executive and District Director. Currently there is not any one in these two positions.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank each and every Scouter who has allowed me the privilege of representing them in Scouting. I’m not leaving the area, but obviously my time will be spent in a much broader capacity. But know, I value highly and always will, the friendships of the people who have been integral in helping me be a successful servant for the Boy Scouts of America.
