Roundtable

Colonial Training Chair Dominick Caridi leads a discussion during a recent Roundtable.

Colonial District Roundtable is held on the second Wednesday of the month (except July) at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, at the corner of Fort Hunt Rd. and Collingwood Rd in Alexandria.

The event opens at 7:00 p.m. with our training and activity midway, with the program kicking off at 7:45 p.m., followed by individual breakout sessions with topics of interest to Cub Scout, Scout, and Venture leaders.

Note that the Venturing Forum is held once a quarter. This breakout is held for Venturing leaders to meet, discuss topics, and share best practices for Venturing events.

Additionally, take the time from 7:00 p.m.-7:45 p.m. to turn-in new member, transfer, and adult leader applications.

And finally, what is Roundtable?! If its unfamiliar to you, Roundtable is a forum for volunteers at the unit level to learn from one another by sharing best practices while also obtaining program ideas, information on events and other important issues in Scouting, and training opportunities. In short, its an opportunity to learn from each other to improve unit meetings and activities.

For questions, contact your District Commissioner Sasha Loftin or Burt Wager for Cub Scouts; Mark Grapin for Boy Scouts, and Jennifer Allred for Venturing.

Upcoming Roundtable dates:

Wednesday, April 10
Wednesday, May 8
Wednesday, June 12 – The quarterly Venturing forum will also be held in June.
Wednesday, August 14 – The quarterly Venturing forum will also be held in August.
