Life to Eagle

On February 1, 2019, BSA will start admitting girls to “Scouts BSA” (new name for the Boy Scout program). Advancement requirements for girls will be the same as for boys, but there are some “Temporary Transition Rules” for new scouts (boys and girls) who were not previously members of the Boy Scout program.  The temporary rules permit new scouts to request a time extension beyond age 18 to earn Eagle rank, but the time frame for advancing to Eagle is very tight (24 months from initial registration).  For more information on the “Implementation Details for Females Entering Scouts BSA” please click here.
