Camperall (Cub Scouts BSA):
Camperall is Chain Bridge’s largest event with an average of 1,700+ adult volunteers and Cub Scouts participating in FUN activities at Camp Snyder. The idea behind this event is to provide a variety of age-appropriate shooting sports, STEM activities, crafts, and games for our Cub Scouts.
Trainings for Cub Scout adult volunteers are also offered throughout the day for anyone looking to receive additional or position specific training.
When: September 28, 8 AM to September 29, 11 AM
Theme: “Let the games begin”.
We will have action games, such as 5 vs 5 flag football, soccer, gaga ball, and more. Program is still being established. Hoping to have an obstacle course. Will have mind games too, such as Chess, riddle relays, and more. Let’s not forget puzzles. Of course we’ll have our usual fun stuff, such as BBs, Archery, Climbing wall, and Rope Bridge. We’ll also bury a bunch of really (possibly) valuable stuff for yours Cubs to dig up in the big dig.
Packs – let us know if you’re participating. Best practice is to have families register online, as they have the past 10 years. Deadline to register will be Wednesday September 25, midnight. The budget is not yet finalized. Prices may have to increase a bit, but as you regulars know, the price has always been reasonable, and will remain that way. You and your families will have the option to register for Saturday only or for overnight in a campsite. Campsites and BB times will be assigned by Thursday September 26 in the afternoon. We’ll share the link with CM and CC to register online in early August
Campsites: We expect to have some optional campsites available – to help ease the crowding in the established campsites. We also expect to re-run the Webelos (AOL) Cubs through the Scout Troop introductions, as we did last year. How can Packs or Troops Help? Several Packs and a half dozen Troops have helped staff our program. More help is always welcome. Talk with Dave or Scott about how you may be able to support one of our games, or a craft activity, or other activity for this event. Why? This event is a terrific starting point for your Cub Scout year. It’s great for the Cubs, as well as the parents to get a good look at how much fun their Cubs are about to have.
