National Jamboree Volunteer Weekend
May 31, 2017
Before Scouts can LIVE SCOUTING’S ADVENTURE at the National Jamboree, the staff need a place to live. Join us in setting up 2,000 tents. With 200 volunteers, we will only have 10 tents per person. Will you help?
In 2013, the Summit was able to procure the help of the West Virginia Division of Corrections to set up the staff tents. However, due to financial reasons, that help is not be available for 2017. The National Jamboree and Summit teams cordially invite Scouts and Leaders from Councils within driving distance to join us in creating a positive customer service experience for Jamboree Staff when they arrive on site at the Summit in July.
Weekend camping will be available with units bringing their own tents and equipment. The Summit will provide meals (Fri night – Sun morning). We will cap off the the weekend with an evening event on Lake Goodrich – Climbing Walls, Kayaking, and Stand Up PaddleBoarding will be available for all participants.
