VENTURING AWARDS

SCOUT AWARDS

Beyond the advancement program, Venturing offers additional opportunities to challenge young adults and honor their service to the Venturing program through specialty and leadership awards.

Specialty Awards

Venturers are encouraged to explore their interests and passions. The Venturing specialty awards, while not a part of the core Venturing recognition program, allow Venturers to discover certain areas more in depth. The Ranger Award, Quest Award, TRUST Award, and Nova Awards allow Venturers to discover the outdoors, sports, their faith, and science respectively.

Ranger Award medalThe Ranger Award exemplifies a challenging high-level outdoor/high-adventure skills advancement program. Once earned, it will identify a Ranger as a person who is highly skilled at a variety of outdoor sports and interests, trained in outdoor safety, and ready to lead or assist others in activities.  To learn more, click here.

Quest Award medalWhile working on the Quest Award, Venturers will be required to learn more about what makes up a nutritional diet as well as design their own personal exercise plans based upon lifestyle, fitness levels, and desires for a healthy and long life. One way to work toward a safe future is to learn to get along and work together. Understand is a good start toward trust. While working on the TRUST award, Venturers will learn more about themselves, their communities, their religion and culture, as well as those of others.  To learn more, click here.

Venturing-religious-emblems patchA Scout is reverent. He is reverent toward God. He is faithful in his religious duties and respects the convictions of others in matters of custom and religion.

To encourage members to grow stronger in their faith, religious groups have developed the following religious emblems programs. The Boy Scouts of America has approved of these programs and allows the emblems to be worn on the official uniform. The various religious groups administer the programs. Check with your local council service center or contact the religious organization directly to obtain the curriculum booklets. For more information, click here.
