The NCAC STEM Committee is hosting STEM University on June 10, 2017 at Camp Snyder! Youth are invited to display their Supernova projects at our Einstein’s Science Fair, or attend the hands-on activities at Camp Snyder’s makerspace, Sally’s STEM Shack. Adults may take Nova Counselor & Supernova Mentor trainings, learn how to organize STEM events in the unit or district level, and learn about STEM Activity kits. Register at

Microsoft has worked with Boy Scouts of America to design curriculae that meet Cub Scout advancement requirements. Microsoft provides this fun and educational service for free. The registration cost goes to support STEM Scouting programs – specifically the Microsoft STEM Day, and to provide scholarships (including transportation) for Explorers and Scouts who need assistance to attend these STEM events. Cub Scouts STEM Day Camp
July 24 – 27, 2017
Camp Snyder in Haymarket, VA
Cub Scouts will explore hydraulics, 3D printing, and soldering, while also enjoying the shooting sports and aquatics outdoors at Snyder! Cub Scouts may earn 2 of the Nova Awards through their STEM explorations as well as a rank-related adventure. Don’t miss it! This is a co-ed program  – registration is open to all cub scouts and cub-age siblings. :

STEM Challenges at Goshen
July 2-8 and July 23-29, 2017
Goshen Scout Reservation in Goshen, VA
Do you want to build your own drone? Join the STEM Challenges Week 3 or 6 at Goshen.  Youth will participate in COPE, learn to weld, use a 3D printer, and finally, build their own quadcopter!
