The Patuxent District Program Committee has eight exciting programs already planned for the 2017-2018 Scouting year. Four are intended for Troops and Crews and four for Cubs and their families.

FALL CAMPOREE Join us for the Feast of the Hunter’s Moon! This gathering will celebrate the successful Fall Hunt and Harvest with traditional native American Activities and a communal meal shared by all.. Please read the packet for details! Activities will include: Lacrosse – Native American Stickball; Native American Games; Native American Flutes and Drumming; Archery; Atlatl Throwing; Cherokee Blow Darts; and, Native American Beading |

WINTER CUB FUN DAY Just because it is winter doesn’t mean scouting takes a break. Come join us for the Winter Cub Fun Day and keep scouting alive year-round! We will have fun, food, and chances to enhance your scout skills. If you’re not yet in scouting, consider this a great opportunity to sign up! Activities include: Archery, Arts and Crafts, Scout Skills, Games and more! |

WINTER RENDEZVOUS In honor of the 240th Anniversary of the Continental Army’s Winter at Valley Forge we invite you to Prepare your Scouts to Join General Goose Washington as his troops struggle to make it through the frigid winter. PINEWOOD DERBY Racing event for Cub Scouts. Cub Scouts, with the help of parents, build their own cars from wood, usually from kits containing a block of pine, plastic wheels, and metal axles. |

FIRST AID MEET The Patuxent District will hold a First Aid Meet give units an opportunity to competing for good old-fashioned bragging rights, troops and crews can use the Meet towards completing the BSA Emergency Preparedness Award. Opportunities for CPR and First Aid Certifications will also be available. |
