2014 Commissioner Conference & COH Luncheon


  THEME: "Recognizing the Challenges of Commissioners”

Plan to join hundreds of Commissioners from across NCAC and beyond as we focus on Recognizing Commissioners for Service to our Units!  There will be a key note speaker and interactive discussions for all commissioners whether you are a seasoned hand or new to the Commissioner role or whether you are a Unit or Round Table Commissioner. For District and Assistant District Commissioners and those already working on their Doctorates in Commission Science there will also be separate sessions for you to participate in.   The 5 Tracks will include:

  1. "District and ADC Challenges Ahead”   for District Commissioners and ADCs/ACCs - Led by NCAC Council Commissioner Ed Yarbrough
  2. "Challenges in Selecting a Doctoral Thesis or Completing the Doctorate Commissioner Program” Doctoral Candidates – continuing their degrees – Led by Commissioner College Doctoral Dean Bob Owen
  3. "Challenges of being a Commissioner for a New-unit” for Commissioners for New Units – Led by ACC/Commissioner College Masters Dean Jon Baake
  4. "Challenges and Sharing of Solutions for RT Commissioners” for all RT Commissioners – Led by ACC Round Table Guru George Costigan
  5. Challenges and Problem-Solving Sessions- Led by Commissioner College Bachelor’s Program Dean Gene Eplee & team of seasoned commissioners – Topic 1:   "Commissioner Support for BSA Membership Standards” and Topic 2: "The New Face of Scouting:  An Open Forum Discussion"

The registration fee will be $35 in advance ($45 at the door) and includes session, lunch, key note address, entertainment, and a special event patch for attendees and loads of program materials on a web-link for registrants.   Registration is now open on the NCAC web-site at
