COMMISSIONER SERVICE FOR NEW UNITS
This page is the home for Commissioner Service for New Units activities in NCAC. It is overseen by Dom Bee, ACC for New Units.
History has shown that Scouting units that are created on a weak foundation usually do not last long and drop within three years of being created. This causes great damage to the Scouting brand, causes hurt feelings and most importantly negatively impact the youth that Scouting serves.
For that reason, it is critical that everyone involved in the new unit process keep in mind that the primary goal in new unit creation is to build it, support it and sustain so that it becomes high performing as soon as possible.
If you would like information or have a question on new units, please contact Dom Bee, ACC for New Units at firstname.lastname@example.org or (757) 710-9786.
The use of UVTS is particularly important in New Unit service. To support this, please review the material from the College of Commssioner Science course MCS 323 - Mining UVTS for Gold (pdf) (pptx).
