Special Events

During the course of the year Camp Snyder host several special events. These range from Cub Family Campouts to COPE Course events. There is also a wide range of District and Council Level events that take place on the property from Camporees, OA Lodge functions and Training. The information on this page will help you in planning your event at camp or provide you with information on an upcoming event.

Cub Scout Fall Expo - October 17, 12-5 PM

Wonder where to go climb a rock wall? Would you like to run model trains? Curious how robots work or just what mad scientists do? These questions and many more can be answered at our Cub Scout expo October 17th. Come out and enjoy fun and games! There will be a wide variety of vendors, organizations, demonstrations and food available for purchase that day. $5 for children 5 years of age and up. Adults are FREE!


Cub Family Camping- October 17-18, 2015

Promises to be a fantastically fun filled weekend! Cubs may attend with dad, mom, or the entire family! Enjoy the crisp fall air while camping with your family and scouting friends. Even better, the event fee includes all access to our cub fall expo. Come for the Expo, stay for the night! Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. Lunch is served at 11:00 and then everyone can enjoy the EXPO. Dinner and campfire Saturday evening and then continental breakfast Sunday morning before you depart.  Register online.



Great Outdoors- Saturday, November 14, 2015

Cope Course! Climbing Tower! Outdoor Adventure vendors! Door Prizes. Camp Snyder is the place for every Boy Scout to be on Saturday November 14th. Join us as we celebrate everything great about the outdoors!  There will be vendors from around the area showcasing recreational activities of all different types. Among other things, learn about kayaking, canoeing, skiing, white water rafting, rock climbing, shooting, archery, hiking, and backpacking, along with representatives from the nearby county, state and federal parks. Meet representatives from area stores that would have all things to meet your needs for any outdoor adventure. Bring Scouting for Food donations for door prize tickets. Don’t miss out on the exciting door prizes, games and food throughout the day!Online registration available
