Provide the best for your youth—Get Trained!!!
Need to get trained for your new position fast? It’s easy. Go to www.myscouting.org. All registered adults must have youth protection training including newly registered adults, their YPT card must be attached to their registration form or the registration will not be accepted.
Need Advanced Training?
Check out the Council website for available courses, information and online registration. Go to NCAC website and click on the Calendar tab to view Training. To register, you need your ID number from your BSA registration card if you have one, if not take the training and then add your number to your profile when you receive it. Remember, if you can’t take training with the Old Dominion District due to calendar conflicts, you can take the training with any other District in the NCAC.
Get your Training Records Updated!
After you get the training, make sure you get credit! When you check your My Scouting information, if you don’t see training you know you’ve taken, get in touch with Greg Boyette, the ODD Training Chair, to make sure your records get updated. Send information via email with your BSA ID # along with the course name, date it was taken, where it was taken, and any other information you think would be helpful. Contact Greg Boyette by email at firstname.lastname@example.org Put in the subject line "ODD Training Record Update" along with your name and date.
