Cub Scout Day Camp 2013
Wild West Adventures Day and Twilight Camp
Goose Creek District Day/Twilight Camp at Morven Park, Leesburg, VA
Goose Creek District's 2013 Cub Scout Day Camp theme was Wild Western Adventures. Scouts panned for gold, learned how a telegraph works, and then built a working telegraph! They learned roping, enjoyed an old-fashioned carnival, learned to handle the cold-blue steel of a BB gun, became a "dead eye" at archery and sling shots, participated in up to four sports, and earned belt loops! Camp ran Monday through Thursday, from 9 am to 4 pm with a half-day on Friday. Siblings were welcome.
For those who couldn't get to Day Camp, Goose Creek District offered the only Twilight Camp in the Council. The boys shot shot BB guns, archery, and sling shots, and learned a Scout craft. Twilight Camp was held Monday through Thursday from 6:30 pm until dusk.
We’re always looking for volunteers. Volunteers who worked a full week at camp earned a free child credit for the camp.
Let us know if we can come to your next Pack event and talk to your families about the exciting camp opportunities that the NCAC offers.
