In order to ensure that units are staffed by fully trained Scouters, we encourage unit leaders, adult volunteers and college students to check their training status at least annually during the Re-Charter period.
The Appalachian Trail District has a new policy in place to take advantage of the Unit Scouter Reserve and College Scouter Reserve classifications for adults who participate in your unit's activities, but are not fully trained. Read about this new policy and decide who in your unit may best fit this role...or, please, ensure they are fully trained for their position.
