When: June 22-26th, 2015. 8AM-5PM with extended pickup until 6PM.
Where: Mount Oak United Methodist Church 14110 Mount Oak Road, Mitchellville, MD 20721.
Whom: Registered Cub Scouts & Webelos between ages 6 and 10 (Grade 1 and up) are eligible.
Cost: $175/Scout before April 17th, $195 April 18th-May 15th, $215 May 16th-June 7th.

Day Camp activities at this location include archery instruction, target shooting (BBs and, slingshot), nature/lab, crafts, sports, Scout Skills, and other activities. Each group of five boys requires at least one adult who will walk with the den all day (not considered to be a staff member). Please see details in flyer.
2015 District Cub Scout Day Camp (PDF)

When: Saturday October 17th, 2015.10am-4pm.
Where: Patuxent River Park 16000 Croom Airport Road, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772
Cost: Free admission/parking. Bring money for traditional food, crafts, horse/pony rides and vendor sales.

Every boy we don't reach out to and encourage to join our Scout program is a boy who will miss out on all the amazing things Scouting does for us, from regular camping, outdoor activities, merit badges and pride in what they can do, to service to our community, citizenship, making great new friends and having fun. Equally important is bringing new Adult leaders into the program -- we can't support the Scouts without their help, mentoring and leadership. Scouting will wither away and die without new Scouts and Adult Leaders. And existing Scouts learn leadership by bringing along the younger Scouts.
And so, my fellow Scouters, ask not what Scouting (recruitment) will do for you -- ask what you can do for Scouting (recruitment).
