Support Scouting through Workplace Giving!
The National Capital Area Council is generously supported by almost every United Way within the territory of our Council’s service district, spanning across Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Maryland. United Way donors have supported and contributed to our mission of improving the lives of boys for many decades. We are thankful for our long-standing partnerships with Rappahannock United Way, Piedmont United Way, United Way of Frederick County, United Way of St. Mary's County, United Way of Calvert County and United Way of Charles County.

Maryland Charity Campaign #2990
The Maryland Charity Campaign is another workplace charitable-giving program that offers state employees the opportunity to contribute to charities they support. The United Way of Central Maryland serves as the Operating Agency. The donor designation number for National Capital Area Council is #2990.
These workplace giving campaigns allow a donor to make a contribution to the charities of his/her choice. In many cases, NCAC only receives donations that are specifically designated by a benefactor. Many corporations match gifts that are made by their employees to the Boy Scouts. Some companies even give financial contributions on behalf of the time you give as a volunteer. This means that for each hour you volunteer, your employer may donate money to the Boy Scouts of America. Listed below are some companies who currently support NCAC through employee matching gift or volunteer hour programs.
· BAE Systems
