Zekiah Duty to God “Inter-faith” Planning Handbook 0 Z. District  Lord Baden-Powell once stated "The Scout, in his promise, undertakes to do his duty to his king and country only in the second place; his first duty is to GOD.  It is with this idea before us and recognizing that GOD is the one Father of us all, that we Scouts count ourselves a brotherhood despite the difference among us of country, creed, or class.”  The attached Handbook provides Unit & District Activities Planners with:12 Simple Tools to place “Duty to God” in their Scouting Programs (pages 14-16); andGuidance on how to include“nonsectarian inter-faith” “Duty to God” activities in their Scouting Program, Prayers, and Worship Services for all religious faiths (pages 12-13).

ADOPT A GROUP OF VETERANS 0 R. Davidson Many of the Veterans in the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home have few visitors and some do not have any outside visitors. All of the Veterans enjoy visits from someone who just stops by to just say "hi” and to know that someone still cares about them. This effort only involves 2-4 scouts/adults for 3-4 hours once a month. Since this service project only involves 2-4 scouts/adults a month, each scout/adult in your Unit can have the opportunity to participate in at least one visit each year. Please see the attached flyer for more  and updated information for 2014. Zekiah District
