Who: Any adult (18 yrs old and above) who wants to expand their LNT reach by learning how to train Leave No Trace trainers. Prerequisite: A Leave No Trace Trainer certificate orapproval from your Council Outdoor Ethics Advocate
When and Where: Sept. 12-14, 2014, Camp Snyder, Haymarket, Va., and Sept. 25-28, 2014, Prince William Forest Park, Triangle, Va. Attendance at both weekends isrequired.
Why: Because you think spreading the word further about Leave No Trace is important to preserve and protect the backcountry and frontcountry for Scouts and the general public.
Cost: $260, which includes meals for both weekends and a year’s membership with LNT’s Centerfor Outdoor Ethics. Your fee also pays for:
• A BSA Leave No Trace Master Educator card,
• BSA Leave No Trace Master Educator Course Manual,
• A Leave No Trace Master Educator certificate from the BSA and Leave No TraceCenter for Outdoor Ethics, and
• A National Park Service Leave No Trace DVD.

This five-day, five-night course trains Scouts and Scouters ages 18 and up to serve as Leave No Trace Master Educators.Master Educators can conduct Leave No Trace Trainer courses (two-day) and awareness workshops (one-day or shorter). Nationally certified Master Educator instructors teach Master Educator courses, so your standing would be recognized by the Boulder, Colo.-based Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics.
