The theme is the Iron Chef and the Cooking Merit Badge will be an exciting activity along with Pie eating, Pumpkin carving and a chili cookoff
Scouts, come show off your cooking skills and share your Grandmother's secret recipes with fellow Scouts from the District. Online registration on the District website will be opening soon. Cost is 21 per person. Check-in expected to be between 5 and 7 pm, then PLC at 9pm on Friday Oct. 17. Flag raising at 8:30 am on Saturday, with round-robin sessions in the morning and afternoon focused on the first 4 requirements of the Cooking merit badge. Fun activities include a pie eating contest, pumpkin carving contest, and Chili cookoff Saturday with 'secret ingredients'. Be prepared to volunteer some Scouts for judges. We're also bringing back patch trading, with designated times both days, in the hope of instilling this fine Scouting tradition in today's generation of Scouts. (Come prepared for any kind of weather, and bring portable chairs and tables, as we've got no pavilions or picnic tables there).

It's only about 35 miles from Dulles Intl,. Airport, so not that far out.
