Details
The COPE committee is conducting a training session on April 17-19 at Camp William B. Snyder. This will be an opportunity for adults, Scouts ages 16 and older and Venturers of any age to get trained in the BSA Project COPE. Those over 18 can earn Instructor Level 1 certification, while those as young as 14 can become facilitators in training (FIT). Adults with Level 1 training may take Level 2 training. It is a great opportunity for those interested in becoming a part of the staff for the Camp WB Snyder, Goshen Scout Reservation, and Camp Wall COPE courses, or to work with your own unit and others on the course. This is an overnight course. Lodging and food will be provided.
Goal: The course goal is to ensure that you can safely and effectively facilitate a COPE event under the direction of a trained Director or Level 2 Instructor. It will give you a working understanding of Project COPE and enable you to facilitate others in their leadership growth.
