Den Chief Training

 

This course is for Scouts or Venturers desiring to be a Den Chief and adult Scout leaders who manage the Den Chief programs for their unit. The course instructs Scouts on the leadership position of Den Chief, and trains them in the necessary skills to lead and befriend the Cub and WEBELOS scouts in their Dens. The course is designed to motivate Scouts through fun, learning skills, playing games and participating in activities that will help them understand their role in the weekly Den meetings.

 

Prerequisite: 

Den Chief Fast Start Training at  http://www.scouting.org/training/youth/dencheftraining.aspx

It takes about 30 minutes to complete.  Please bring a copy of the printed training certificate to the training.

Cost: The registration fee is $5.   Bring a copy of the Den Chief Handbook.  Copies of the Den Chief Handbook will be available for purchase onsite for $7.  Please bring exact currency or pay via check.

 

Uniform:  Official Scout Uniform or Crew Shirt

NCAC Cancellation Policy:  There are no refunds for this event and the fees cannot be credited toward another event. This policy is true for any event with fees of $25.00 or less per participant/registrant unless stated otherwise. Things to Bring:  Den Chief Handbook (or purchase onsite) and pen or pencil.
