Colin French, Director of Legal Services and Administration, BSA National Foundation
The Second Century Endowment provides for individuals to make an outright gift or deferred gift through a trust, annuity or other planned gift vehicle. We will provide you – without cost or obligation – information about the BSA Foundation, our Council strategic plan and investment reports from Wells Fargo.
If you are puzzled by the complex and changing tax laws, this special educational program can help answer your questions while providing you with information about a wide range of BSA Foundation services. An investment of just ninety minutes of your time may become the best investment you have ever made. Regardless of your age, effective estate planning is important for both your financial and legacy plans, and, most importantly, your peace of mind.
The Council endowment fund helps support the annual operating budget ($172,000 in 2012), but there is another component even more important – the legacy of donors. When you make a qualifying tax-deductible gift donation (either present or deferred) to the Second Century endowment fund, we want to remember you in perpetuity.
Your personal values are literally endowed when you create and fund a named endowment with our Council and the BSA Foundation. Consider for a moment; through the endowment, your children and grandchildren, your family members in distant future generations who may never have known you, will know something important about you. They will know about your generosity and your values.
