Event Overview

National Capital Area Council (NCAC), Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is pleased to honor Congressman John D. Dingell (D-MI), current Dean of the House of Representatives and member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, with the 2014 Energy "Good Scout" Award. The award luncheon will be hosted at the American Gas Association (400 North Capitol St NW #450, Washington, DC 20001) starting at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, April 29, 2014.

Boy Scouts of America is dedicated to building strong character and instilling positive values in youth to become leaders like Congressman Dingell. The leadership he has demonstrated is one that Scouting advocates. A former Boy Scout and Scoutmaster, Congressman Dingell understands the power of Scouting. The challenges we face in the energy industry today are going to be even more acute tomorrow, and it is important that our nation’s youth are “energy literate” and prepared to confront the energy challenges of tomorrow.

Sponsorship & Tickets

Young people learn much more in Scouting than tying knots, and we want to give them every advantage they need to succeed in school…and in life. Your support of this luncheon to honor Congressman Dingell will help NCAC accomplish that goal.
