Merit Badge Process

Here is the process to register as a merit badge counselor in Goose Creek District.

First, gather the following paperwork:
  • A new BSA adult application (even if you already have one on file for another position in BSA)
  • A copy of your current Youth Protection Training (YPT) certificate of completion (even if you submitted one before)
Next, turn in all paperwork to Peggy Durbin, District Director.  The best way is to meet Peggy at the monthly Roundtable.  But if that doesn't work, contact Peggy directly to make other arrangements.

Peggy will turn in the relevant items to Council, and you'll be ready to go.
