Battlefield’s Haymaker STEM Expo is this coming Saturday 28-Jan-2017 (with snow date of 4-Feb-2017) from 10am – 3pm.  The event is FREE for all.

STEM Nova Day at Microsoft

Microsoft Offices in Chevy Chase, MD

 This is an all day event for Cubs and Boy Scouts to attend hands-on classes and technical discussions pertaining to Nova Awards, STEM Merit Badges or STEM Adventures. Each participant of this STEM event may select two classes during registration (one for AM and one for PM). Register here:

MITRE Scout Engineering Day

National Inventor’s Day

This is the third annual Inventing Merit Badge class to be held at the USPTO. Session one will be on February 11, 2017 (four hour morning session) and session two will be on March 18 (3 hour morning inventions showcase). Register here:

Microsoft has worked with Boy Scouts of America to design curriculae that meet Cub Scout advancement requirements. Microsoft provides this fun and educational service for free. The registration cost goes to support STEM Scouting programs – specifically the Microsoft STEM Day, and to provide scholarships (including transportation) for Explorers and Scouts who need assistance to attend these STEM events. If you know a scout or scouts who need the fee waived, please email
